At A-Link Therapy, our goal is to use a holistic approach to empower individuals and their families to overcome challenges within their activities of daily living. The focus is to enable each individual throughout their life span to live as independently and easily as possible.

For Children Activities of Daily Living… playing with peers, self-care (feeding, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene), leisure activities inclusion with family community events and participating at school.

For Adults Activity of Daily Living… increasing independence with self-care, shopping, cooking, managing finances, working and/or volunteering, being apart of relationships, possibly parenting, and leisure activities.

For Seniors Activity of Daily Living… continuing self-care, maintaining mental and physical health, shopping, cooking, managing finances, being apart of relationships, and leisure activities.

Occupational Therapists offer an abundance of support for different age groups.  These include (but are not limited to):

0-5 Years of Age
An occupational therapist can help a child to develop their Activities of Daily Living, including playing with peers, self-care (feeding, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene), leisure activities inclusion with family community events and participating at school. in a fun and holistic way.

6-12 Years of Age
An occupational therapist can help a child/early teen to develop their Activities of Daily Living, include play with peers, self-care (feeding, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene), leisure activities inclusion with family community events, participating at school,  in a fun and holistic way.

13-17 Years of Age
An occupational therapist can help an early teen/teen to develop their Activities of Daily Living, include play with peers,  developing relationships, self-care (feeding, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene), leisure activities, participating at school, working towards a vocation, in a fun and holistic way.

18+ Years of Age
An occupational therapist can help a teen and adults continue to develop and maintain Activity of Daily Living, including increasing independence with self-care, shopping, cooking, managing finances, working and/or volunteering, being apart of relationships, possibly parenting, and leisure activities.

Seniors & Families
An occupational therapist works with seniors and their families to maintain their Activity of Daily Living, as well as, provide support and strategies to assist with challenges that can occur as we get older.
